At Torstar Digital, Candice is charged with fueling innovation in the company and exploring acquisitions and partnerships to drive Torstar Digital’s growth and leadership in the industry.
NANCY DEMERLING - Intel Corporation, Director of Marketing
Nancy will share insights from her 22-year marketing career. Opportunities abound in science, engineering and technology marketing. Demerling will speak to the challenge of taking complex products and finding ways to effectively communicate their benefits to the consumer – and how social media is redefining the rule book of marketing. Nancy is responsible for all advertising, media, corporate events, internet marketing, marketing communications, agency management and operations for the Intel Corporation across Canada.
TARA DEAKIN - Rogers Communications, VP National Training & Development
Tara will advise the audience on best practices for career and leadership development. She will share her experience on developing her career; practical tactics and tools for self development and the guiding principles for the emerging leader. Tara supports the strategic focus of Rogers by translating business goals into actionable performance initiatives for over 35,000 employees. She has direct responsibility for the leadership, development and delivery of sales, service, product, process and application training for all of Rogers' lines of business.
ANDREA VAN LEEUWEN - Microsoft Canada Co, Small & Midmarket Business Group
Andrea Van Leeuwen manages the Small and Midmarket Business Group at Microsoft Canada Co. She has been with Microsoft for ten years in various roles focused on partners and customers in the SMB space. Ms. Van Leeuwen has an Honours degree in Business Applied Studies Psychology and Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo.
