GROWING WOMEN LEADERS
Wired Woman Toronto Chapter is pleased to present “Growing Women Leaders” - a special evening with a panel of high profile and diverse executive women who will provide their perspective on women in leadership.
As the demand for women in senior roles continues to grow, the next generation of leaders will bring a very different set of demands. Whether seeking an executive position in a Fortune 500 company, or embarking on an entrepreneurial career, demands such as work/life balance, accountability and due diligence, and mentorship have become integral to the decision making process.
What is the best way for enterprises to attract and retain senior level talent today? How committed are they to accommodating this new generation executive – and how far are they willing to go? What do entrepreneurial women need to know to survive and thrive?
Presenters:
- France Simard Professional Executive Recruiter
- Gerlinde Herrmann, BComm, CHRP – HRPAO Past-Chair and Chair of Global and Strategic Alliances, and President and CEO of The Herrmann Group
- Mia Wedgbury, President & Co-Founder, High Road Communications
- Susan B. Smith, C.A, CMC, founder of S.B. Smith Consulting Group Inc.
As individuals who represent every level of professional development, our panelists will draw upon their personal experiences to discuss such issues as:
- Changes driving executive recruitment practices today.
- Making the move from enterprise executive to entrepreneurship.
- The new challenges facing today’s business leaders.
- Addressing the work/life balance debate.
Please join us for this lively and engaging discussion on what will define our next generation leaders.
Growing Tomorrow's Leaders - Thank you all for making this event a success. Our speakers provided substantial guidance to Women who may want to move into executive or senior executive roles. A common message from our speakers was to try and find personal balance, promote and celebrate yourself. It was elaborated that these ingredients are the foundation to gaining a positive perspective, needed to succeed.
