Vancouver Volunteering
Wired Woman Vancouver is always interested in welcoming new volunteers. To get involved please fill out the Vancouver Volunteer Application Form.
The Vancouver Chapter Volunteers are organized into several teams as listed below. All the teams report to the Chapter Executive Team consisting of the President, 2 Vice Presidents and Treasurer. Each Team has a Team Lead (or two Co-Leads) supported by a group of volunteer team members. General volunteer requirements:
- Minimum commitment of 6 months (1 year minimum is preferred).
- Contribute an average of 5 to 10 hours per month (varies from month to month and from team to team).
- Access to computer, internet and personal email account.
- Detail oriented, good communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Able to attend regular team and chapter volunteer meetings and participate in team communications (mainly via email).
- Wired Woman membership.
Additional Team Lead requirements:
- Minimum commitment of 1 year (2 year minimum is preferred).
- Recruit and select volunteer team members .
- Provide leadership to the team .
- Provide monthly status reports to Chapter Executive .
Chapter Executive
Description:
The Vancouver Chapter Executive Team is responsible to ensure that the Vancouver Chapter delivers programs and services that support the Wired Woman Mission and Vision. The primary goal of the team is to provide direction, guidance and leadership to the chapter promoting a collaborative environment while ensuring the chapter is fiscally accountable and adheres to National and Chapter policies and guidelines. Also, they will participate in planning and establishing strategic directions for the Society and Chapters, ensuring alignment with National goals and objectives, and provide ongoing feedback between National and the Chapter.
